Blue and Gold Banquet

The Cub Scouts had their annual Blue and Gold Banquet at Reunion Ranch in Georgetown. Hunter went from a Wolf Cub to a Bear Cub. I wasn't able to attend and when he came home to tell me about it he said that they showed pictures of his den and they played a really cool song in the background. He asked me if I had ever heard it. It was called Hungry Like the Wolf. I told him I may have heard it once or twice before. You can see him howling like a wolf above.

School Fun

Here are Jake and Hunter at their Valentine's parties. Hunter gave a special girl a Valentine this year! Can you believe that.

Jake celebrated his 100th day of school.
We glued 100 puzzle pieces onto a shirt for
him to wear on the 100th day.

Longhorn Baseball Camp

Hunter went to baseball camp with Texas Longhorn Alumni. He learned to throw and hit with Seth Jonhnson. Hunter can't wait until he gets to teach the camp!

Basketball

Hunter's basketball season has come to a close. He had a great time and learned some new skills. He has become a well rounded athlete.

First Day of School

Jake had his first day of kindergarten today! He was so excited. I got a little teary eyed saying goodbye, but he was too cool for school.

Hunter walked in the door and said, "Bye mom and dad!" Then he started to take off down the hall. We had to tell him to wait for us to walk him to class. I wonder if we cramped his style. I think next year I will say goodbye at the front of the school. He is on the second floor this year and is very excited about that. I doubt he and Jake will see each other at all. That is probably a good thing!

Circus Time

Hunter and Jake had a great time at the circus. We were able to go inside an hour before the show and see some acts. We got to see an elephant named Asia paint a picture. We also got to see the clowns do their acts.

Police Station

Hunter and Jake went to jail. They loved every minute of it. We got to tour the brand new police station in Round Rock. We got to go into the jail and sit in the police car. We also got to see the guns they use.
